Present in the audience at Freddie's one man show in Broadstairs on Saturday were Phil and Michelle Green, who had made the journey all the way from Southport to see him in action.
You could say they were returning the favour: in September Michelle had emailed Freddie to say that when they got married in October they planned to have their first dance to So Lucky, the big ballad Freddie recorded in 1972; Freddie actually made a surprise appearance at the reception to croon it to the happy couple in person.
Does this mean yet another career change for Freddie? "I may become a Wedding Singer!" he quips in a recent tweet.
